DescriptionFormed in the San Francisco Bay area in 1991, the Counting Crows released their debut album, August and Everything After, two years later. The album's single, "Mr. Jones," became a staple of 90s radio airplay. The band's smooth sound was a stark contrast to the Seattle-based grunge popularity of the time.
