DescriptionTom Petty’s long-time axeman, Mike Campbell, really should get more credit in the guitar community. The guy is an absolute monster of a player. Aside from being technically adept, Mike is probably the tastiest lead player since David Gilmour. Countless Tom Petty classics have hooks provided by Mike Campbell’s perfect phrasing and inflection (“Breakdown” being the most obvious example). He also has owned many, many incredible axes. This one is a lefty Strat that he’s set up right-handed – essentially a mirror image of Hendrix’ setup. It was part of Mike’s arsenal for many years.
