DescriptionThe day of this show at the Factory in Madison, Wisconsin, Otis boarded a twin-engine Beechcraft airplane which crashed shortly after take-off – killing him, his manager, the pilot, and four members of the Bar-Kays. Posters for concerts that were canceled due to tragedy are always eerie, but when the opening act is called “The Grim Reapers,” it’s almost too macabre.
