DescriptionThis is the album art layout for what was supposed to be Buffalo Springfield’s second album – 1967’s Stampede. Unfortunately, due to massive tension and infighting between the group and their producers, Stampede got permanently shelved. The recordings have lived on as popular bootlegs, though. In this photo, the guy crouched down in the front hiding his face behind a cowboy hat is supposed to be bassist Bruce Palmer, but it’s actually a roadie standing in for him. Bruce was in Canada at the time of the photo shoot.
