DescriptionKnown as the “King of the Blues”, B.B. King has earned the nickname through sophisticated style of shimmering vibrato, staccato picking, and fluid string bending. Throughout the span of his career, beginning in 1949, King released 43 studio albums and 138 singles.

In 2007, the city of San Diego declared that October 12th be known as B.B. King Day to honor and recognize his contributions to alleviate youth homelessness in San Diego. He partnered with the non-profit organization, Photocharity, and through signing Gibson Guitars, was able to raise over 1 million dollars that went directly to help homeless youths.
