DescriptionHeavily influenced by Johnny Cash and Elton John, Grammy-nominated Washington State native Brandi Carlile dropped out of high school and stormed the music scene with a diverse blend of folk and rock. She later released two number-one albums on the US Folk Music charts. This Wolk Morais-designed outfit was worn by Brandi Carlile on April 1, 2022, in Las Vegas during the 31st annual MusiCares Person of the Year Gala. The Gala was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, with Joni Mitchell as the organization's honoree to celebrate her creative accomplishments and philanthropic work. Brandi Carlile and Jon Batiste served as the night's artistic directors, with Carlile performing Joni Mitchell's 1969 "Woodstock" with Stephen Stills.
