As one of the first metal bands from the post-hip-hop generation, Korn’s fresh approach, total musicianship, and category-defying music had rock critics scrambling for a new phrase to describe them. They called it “Nu Metal.” Lead singer/screamer/human beatbox Jonathan Davis wore this green-spangled Adidas tracksuit on stage with the Bakersfield beasts.
